Islamabad: PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the government wanted to pass the third bill under the guise of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) which was very dangerous.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Abbasi said that 10 days ago the government contacted him to get four bills passed. Three of the bills were related to FATF while one was related to National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The government wanted to pass all the bills together.

The former prime minister said that today the Security Council and the Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill were passed and the two bills were decided in just 25 minutes. The third bill was on economic terrorism which was said to be constitutionally wrong. I had never seen in my life such a terrible bill, which allows to detain a citizen for first 90 days at an unspecified place while for next 90 days under detention without producing in the court.
