ISLAMABAD: Reacting to the issue of dual citizenship of the PM’s advisors and special assistants, Senator Sherry Rehman on Sunday said that the prime minister had taken a U-turn on everything he said.

In her video message, the PPP senator said that out of 19 un-elected cabinet members, five special assistants to the prime minister have dual citizenship.

Sherry Rehman said that a person with dual citizenship cannot become a member of parliament then why dual nationals were made part of the cabinet and under what law?

She said that Imran Khan used to strongly oppose members with dual citizenship in the past but now he had taken a U-turn on this issue too.

The PPP senator said that despite the information, the prime minister had made dual nationals a part of the constitutional forum, are they building a new Pakistan?

She said that if the PM was unaware of his advisors’ dual citizenship then it was a matter of more concern that he had to import people from abroad to build a new Pakistan.
