Karachi: Karachi is likely to receive more rains with thunderstorm today.
According to the Met Office, the hot weather will persist in the city as the temperature will remain 37-39 during the next 24 hours.
It has forecast more rain with thunder for Karachi today.
Earlier on Friday, after severe heat, heavy rains flooded Karachi as roads turned into ponds at several places in the city.
Due to the accumulated rainwater water on the roads, traffic jams were seen at various places in the city.
The underpass on Faisal Drug Road was flooded after which it was closed for traffic.
The rain had badly damaged the city’s drainage system as water accumulated on Burns Road, Karsaz, Hassan Square, Shara Faisal, Tower, PIDC Chowk and other major roads.
The highest rainfall of 41 mm was recorded at Saddar while 32 mm at Faisal Base.
Power supply was also suspended in different areas as soon as the rain started in the city.
