Kashmiri hero Burhan Wani’s 4th martyrdom anniversary being observed today

SRINAGAR: The fourth anniversary of martyrdom of Kashmiri hero and Hurriyat Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani is being observed as the Resistance Day (Youm-e-Muzahmat) in both parts of Kashmir valley and around the world.

Shaheed Wani took up arms against the attrocities of India after the martyrdom of his elder brother Khalid Wani at the hands of occupied Indian forces in a fake encounter back in 2013.

The young Kahsmiri hero used the platform of social media to raise voice against the Indian aggression, highlighting New Delhi’ s state terrorism.

Burhan Wani was martyed alongwith two aides by Indian forces in Kokernag area of occupied Kashmir on July 8, 2016.

Paying rich tribute, hundreds of thousands had attended the funeral prayers held for Wani on both sides of the Line of Control.
