Maulana Fazl urges PM Imran to step down over incompetence

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to admit his government’s incompetence and step down.

He said that the seminaries should be allowed to continue academic activities with safety guidelines.

Addressing a presser here, Fazl said that all the educational institutions should be allowed to reopen. Examinations were scheduled at the seminaries but they were not held. Exams are held during the months of Sha’ban, Ramazan and Shawwal at the seminaries.

All the seminary schools had suspended classes as soon as the coronavirus reported in the country, the JUI-F chief added.

He said that the government was not facilitating in bringing back the bodies of overseas Pakistanis.

On the occasion, Fazl paid a tribute to the front line doctors and paramedics battling against the coronavirus.
