LAHORE: Mushtaq Ahmed, the spin bowling coach and mentor of Pakistan cricket team on Wednesday said that the players need to be mentally strong to return to the ground after the Covid-19.

I am working to make the players mentally strong, he said while speaking at a video-link press conference the first since he joined the team as a bowling coach.

It will be very tough to resume sports activities during the Covid-19. It will not be very easy. Players must be mentally strong for this.

Mushtaq Ahmed said that the West Indian team had arrived England to play a Test series. There will be an opportunity for us to learn from this specially to get used to the new playing conditions, he added. We will know that how much a ball swings under the new laws. We have to see what will be the role of a spinner in new conditions, the legendary spin bowler said.

He said that we would also have to see what will cricket be like now without spectators.
