JI warns of laying siege to punjab assembly

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday said that there was much talk of the Tiger Force but it is not visible anywhere now.

He suggested that the Tiger Force be tasked to deal with locusts by beating drums in the fields.

These views expressed by the JI chief while addressing a presser here at the party headquarters Mansoora.

Siraj said that the Tiger Force should be used against the locust attacks.

He said that even the rulers were unaware where the Rs1200 billion earmarked for coronavirus affectees were spent.

There should be a share for the affectees of locusts attacks and the overseas Pakistanis in the Rs1200 billion, the JI chief said.

He said that the Al Khidmat and Jamaat-e-Islami was ready to help overseas Pakistanis by setting up isolation centers at the airports in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.

The JI leader said that the government had been charging Rs3,000 for accommodation and Rs1500 per day for food from the overseas Pakistanis at the isolation centers.
